FOOTWORK
The footwork phase is the beginning phase to completing the shot. Footwork is the most important key in badminton, it’s the most fundamental skill that you will need to intake to become a successful badminton player (badminton-info.com, 2015). I struggles in my footwork at the start of playing badminton and never got the hang of the footwork it was my weakness. To return shots and serve you need footwork, as you stand side on and bend your knees that will lead to good footwork as you can move around more accurate. Bending your elbow and locking your wrist preparing to swing forward, also turn your body stand sideways to the net with your non-racquet shoulder facing the net. This footwork will be shown in the photos below. I improve my footwork after getting some instructing on performing good footwork.
